and don't forget to respond after you've read to the end. Thank you!
Here's some really advanced notice for changes happening Feb. 1, 2026. Neil is moving out and taking a full-time volunteer position with the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife. Martina is happy for him and Neil will continue to provide daycare here at the cottage once a week for the dogs he's grown to love. Neil will also care for the dogs here when Martina travels. So, we will have to reduce the number of dogs that Kindred Spirit can care for overnight from 8 to 4-5.
As you can imagine, many of our unhoused community members are experiencing real hardships right now. Most have only their dogs left as family members. Often they face the impossible choice of feeding themselves or their pup.
As Juniper Ridge is growing fast, many dogs are left to sleep outside to guard vehicles. CAMP, (the fabulous group that provides free veterinary care for those dogs) tells us THERE IS A BIG NEED FOR DOG COATS (mostly M and L sizes) AND DOG FOOD to help these dogs for the winter.
If you'd like to help, please bring dog coats and dog food by the cottage before New Year's Eve. We are very impressed by CAMP and know their team personally. You can learn more at campclinics.org. Help us out and receive a 10% discount on daycare and a 20% discount on overnites during the month of January.
Happy Holidays and Tail Wags,
Martina and Neil and Pablo, Pita and Barley too
